I once read an article about a woman who joined the RCMP (national Canadian police), and during training she’d constantly be in trouble for having strands of hair not pulled back. Partly a discipline thing, partly because a criminal could yank on it if they wanted to. I always thought that was interesting tidbit.
Little story- before I started dating my boyfriend we were working together, and when someone implied we’d be more than just working together, I rolled my eyes and said, “yeah right!” (This was right in front of my now boyfriend too).
We’ve been together for 6 years.
