There may not be nearly enough readers for this, but it looked like fun, and Negs was all up for it. Click here to ask Negs anything!
*Please don’t ask him actual therapy questions though… he’s not the best at giving humans advice…
Edit: There is now a widget on the right side where you can ask your burning questions as well!
Well, there’s bad news and there’s good news: The bad news, is that I’ve been laid off from my illustration job *sigh*. But what does that mean for you? Good News: There will be more On The Edge! That’s right, I’m going for 3 times a week starting today! We’ll see how it goes.
There is also a book in the works for the first 300 comics, unfortunately, being Canadian, I have to fill out some fancy American tax forms before I can sell them. In the meantime there might be some kind of contest for a free, sketched in copy!
A new piece of fan art is in the gallery, from my friend, animator Bianca Siercke. Check out her blog of awesomeness!
In other news, all the new comics that have been posted so far are completely paperless! I am harnessing the power of my Cintiq to save time and hoping to achieve the same quality. Yay for technology!
I am also starting to toy with the idea of putting together some books of all the comic strips. Trying to figure out sizing and paper and all that fun stuff. Would anyone even buy a book if I made them? Feel free to let me know what you think! I love your comments, keep ‘em coming!
First off, a big apology to the loyal readers who have been asking for new comics! I think I have reached a point where to continue with On The Edge regularly, it would have to be a full time job, which is something I never really intended to do, and I’m not sure I’m ready for. I have other ideas and other stories that I want to create, and it doesn’t really leave time to give On The Edge the attention it needs. I’m also trying to decide what I really want to do with my life. A job with benefits would be nice… anyone hiring?
I have updated Wonderland though, with 2 new pages. You can find them here, or read the story over again here. I have a bunch done now, so I will try and get a few pages up every week. The entire first chapter will also soon be available on Kidjutsu! A new comic site for kids.
In other news, I am planning to be at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, May 9th and 10th, selling my children’s book, and the first chapter of On The Edge: Wonderland in print form. Hopefully, I’ll have some other fun things on sale as well, like homemade Mr. Negative stuffies! If you’re in Toronto, be sure to check it out!
I think that’s it for now. Here’s one last pic for you, from the gallery show I was in at the Flint Institute of the Arts:
Bye for now!
